Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is Print-to-Order?

Woof & Me are a print-to-order business. That means that we print for you, when you order. There's a good reason why most bigger brands don't offer specific breeds - they simply can't afford to keep stock of a large number of breeds for a large number of items. Instead, they offer generic 'dog' patterns which they can stock large volumes of for quick delivery.
At Woof & Me, we're all about breed. Breeds that often get overlooked when it comes to beautiful accessories and interiors, simply because they aren't in the Top Five most popular breeds. When you place your order, your items immediately join our automated print production queue. We print your material first (canvas, silk, linen, cotton, leather and even metal) and then we put it through our environmentally-friendly drying and curing processes. Once it is dried and cured, we can then pass it to down the line to pattern-cutting and then to machining and finishing. We aim to deliver within 7 days, but we quote 10 days to allow us to ensure we meet your expectations.

Why Are You More Expensive Than Mass-Production Items?

We're not a Pet superstore. Those shops do a grand job and things are in stock. We use them too. They are convenient and local. We can pop in when we need to.

The items that we produce are made by us in the UK. Our production costs are higher because we don't mass-produce large volumes of cheaper goods.

We choose high quality and ethically-sourced raw materials that you'd expect from premier luxury brands. Materials that absorb and hold our environmentally-friendly range of inks well, that won't fade. Cottons that are strong and allow stitching to last for years, not months.

Why Can't I Return Shoes?

It's always a tricky balance of knowing whether to sell a product that can't be returned, but we have decided to give you the option of buying shoes from us in your chosen breed. Mainly because we LOVE our sliders and wear them to death!

The ethically-sourced leather and suede that we use in our shoes is so fine that it absorbs bacteria and skin cells easily. This doesn't mean that the shoes will smell - the material itself is treated with an anti-microbial product. However, for hygiene reasons we cannot re-sell shoes that have been on someone else's bare feet. And we don't think you'd want us to either - you expect your shoes to arrive in pristine and virgin condition, unworn by anyone else.
As a small business, we can't absorb write-off costs easily. So we have provided our own very accurate size chart that you simply print off and put your foot on. This will accurately determine your size. These charts are available under each footwear product. You can also find the chart by clicking here.

Of course, if the footwear you receive from Woof & Me is faulty, we will readily accept the return of it and provide you with a new pair!

Why Don't You Offer Every Coat Colour of Every Breed?

Much as we'd love to, we simply can't offer the massive variety of coat colours that exist for every breed that we feature. However, we have included the most common coat colours and we are working hard to update our breeds on a weekly basis. If you have a particular coat colour request, be sure to get in touch here and we will see if we can help!

Why Does It Take 10 Days For Delivery?

Happily, our average order time is 7 days. That's just one week.

Do You Do Mixed Breeds?

Yes, we do! We've catered for the most popular mixed breeds (Cockapoo, Labradoodle, Cavachon, Cavapoo) but because most mixed breeds are a beautiful one-off, we simply can't cater for all of them, much as we'd love to. Lots of popular mixed breeds have lots of variety too - for example, we ourselves have a Cockapoo who is flat-coated and looks just like a Cocker Spaniel. So the products we have for him are in fact from our Cocker Spaniel range and not Cockapoos!

We purposely don't have the breed name written on the products themselves (except in inside dress labels) and we highly recommend looking at the breeds that most resemble your dog - you may well find something very similar.

How Have You Chosen the 'Colour Pop' for my Breed?

We use design principles to choose the 'colour pop' colours for each breed. Those that go with all coat colours we offer. Simply put, bold yellow doesn't suit a Doberman and Lilac doesn't suit a Tan Frenchie. We can't offer a whole range of colours for each breed as we design each product (and each variation of each product, such as size, coat colour, etc) separately. With 30 breeds, we already have 1200 variants that we have designed patterns for.

Why Are There Different Grey Tones For Different Breeds?

Again, this is calculated using design principles. We choose the best complementary tonal grey for the coat colour featured. Grey has many shades (not just fifty ;)) and we choose ones that will work with the pattern we have designed. This varies from breed-to-breed.
